Hosted by Marcus Evans, the 8th Annual Hydro Plant Maintenance & Reliability Conference will feature insights by experts in the hydropower industry. Conference Chairperson Steven R. Jacoby, P.E. will lead the two-day event being held in Centennial, CO. Mr. Jacoby is Vice President of Hydropower Operations for Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) in Oklahoma.
The conference will consist of presentations and panel discussions on executing robust maintenance and safety procedures to strengthen production and revolutionize operational performance. Underwater Acoustics International Chief Scientist Ken LaBry will participate in an interactive panel discussion on November 14. Joining Mr. LaBry on the panel will be Scott Jones, P.E., O & M Mechanical Engineer for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Coulee Dam and Tracy B. Vermeyen, P.E., Hydraulic Engineer of the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation, Technical Service Center. The topic, “Examining the Condition of Underwater and Flooded Structural Components of Hydroelectric Facilities,” will cover inspections, predictive analysis, risk, and remote sensing methods.
